I'm ready to recone a pair of JBL 127H-1 drivers. Frames are all cleaned up and ready. What is the ideal vertical voice coil location within the magnet? Top of VC aligned with the top of magnet? Slightly lower? Slightly higher? Not much data available.

JBL cone kits always had the cone pre-assembled so I’m not sure this spec is even out in the wild. I would assume centered but don’t know that. For fact / have never measured.
