Hi people!
Over the past 48 hours I have been absorbing all sorts of information from audiokarma about DIY record cleaning machines. However, I'm having problems grasping the concept of what motor to use (besides ice cream makers, pasta makers, etc). One of the features I'd like this record cleaning machine to have implemented is a fully reversible motor.

Instead, I was looking at something like this:

I already have a switching dc power supply, and it looks as though it would be easy to adapt to a direct-drive platter bearing (I'm thinking a DD turntable is the way to go). What are your thoughts on this motor? Should I email the seller with any questions on the performance? I have a fairly "good" knowledge of electronics, but zero experiences with mechanics.
