Sonically, these speakers are in excellent shape.
All 6 drivers on each cabinet work.

The grills, too, are in excellent shape, although one of the emblems is missing.
The tops have some water ring stains, and the back left corner of one of the cabinets has been repaired.

If you've never heard these speakers, you owe yourself a favor.

I have a pair. I am listening to them now. These look like a fine pair except for the cabinet tops. But that can be easily taken care off. I don't use those heavy grills, though. They block too much of the sound.

Yeah - with the grills and without the grills, they are two different speakers. Dead, dull, muffled, boring and whatever else you can think of if the grills are on. I wasn't a big fan, even with the grills off, but I never heard them recapped, and that might have a big effect.

They definitely need to be recapped. They did not use high quality caps in those speakers.

Also, the Lowboys need to be raised or tilted. I want to build tilting stands for them so that the tweeters are aimed at my ears. They sound a lot different when I am sitting on the floor versus in a chair.
