Nice! How do like the new to you Garrard in the slate?? Is that a modded 103??
Nope, you didn’t read that wrong. I may have to trade slate for wood. But it’s really the form factor that I’m hung up on, rather than the plinth material. I could probably be talked into a (layered) slate plinth in the smaller format!Very nice Nate.
Soooo you want to go to wood for a plinth vs. slate? Or am I just![]()

Aesthetics are more important to me than they should be...
It's been awhile since I posted any updates, but that's largely because I haven't made too many changes!
A couple of Lenco Heaven guys came over this past weekend for an birthday/anniversary celebration (LH is 10!). I totally forgot to take pictures, but my friend Scott snapped a couple!
Here are his pictures of the current system. The 301 and a Ray Samuels phono pre are the newest kids on the block.
Beautiful setup here man! I've been plotting a move to a PTP Lenco or Garrard for some time now. Have you been happy with the Schick?
Thank you! The arm is Stefano Twogoodears' design, "The Peak".Beautiful.
What tonearm is that?

Big fan! Like, Garrardzilla big!Stefano is a great guy, I bought a SUT off of him that pairs beautifully with 103s a couple of years ago. He’s a 301 fan too, right?
That’s right, I had forgotten the name! Good stuffBig fan! Like, Garrardzilla big!![]()
I recently finished building a SET 2A3 amp for a buddy.
It took too long but I am happy with how it turned out.
Thank you! Yeah, they're hammond enclosures... with a lot of elbow grease applied.Looks beauteous. Are those Hammond boxes, Landfall, etc?
