Reel to Reel Repairs in Australia !

This is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone in Australia know of a good R2R repair Tech that they would trust with a Mint RT-707 or 909 ?

I have both machines but due to no usage both are now pretty much piece of Audio Art to just look at.

I'd love to get them both going again.

I guess the lack of responses pretty sums Australia up when it comes to tape machines. We dumped them in favour of digital technology hardware, eg. burnable CD's etc.

Like so many. If I didn't do my own stuff I wouldn't have any idea for a recommendation. And, it's hard to compete with a fifty cent piece of plastic and a disc drive.

I do not think finding a lack of skilled and knowledgeable techs is unique to Australia.

I totally get that.

Sadly it's an indictment on how our skills are dwindling all over the world and as such we are rapidly becoming such a disposable world.

One day nothing will be repaired and everything will either go to landfill or some sort of recycling.

At this stage I have a CT-F1250, RT-707 and a 909 sitting here just being pieces of defunct Audio Art to look at.
