RIP 11-19-2019
Ok guys, I am at the point of no return, my garage is getting too full and it is time to lighten the load...
I have a sd7000 Sansui reel to reel, was free to me, now free to you, local pickup only in the Seattle area...
It has issues, the spindle for the left reel {facing the unit} is bent, and the headphone level switch is damaged, it powers up, but nothing else has been done.
It is all there as far as I can tell, the wood cabinet is a 6 out of 10 scale, and there are even a few tapes to go with it.
The unit weighs a ton, probably 80 pounds.
I hate to see it go, but I will not be able to do it justice in any reasonable amount of time, and wouldnt use it anyway......sad but true.
I dont think it is a parts unit, I see nothing that is not fixable here.
Please AK members only, I want whoever gets it to tell its story in this forum so I can see it come back to life.
I got it from the original owner, a co-worker ,Vietnam Vet.
Please forgive me if this isnt the right place to post this thread.
