refinished my sansui sp-50's

i did these more than a year ago they are now rockin in my daughters room. the hardest part was not the grills but the face. the faces have very deep wood grains that you have to sand very evenly to look good. i only poly the speakers i cant stand that are all scratched up. they are not perfect but look much better even the pic with the dust on the top. i used olympic one-step poly colonial cherry red. sanding the grills each fret at a time is craziness. maybe this will motivate me to do the other grill!!:scratch2:

yeah when i got my sp-35's the screens were half blown off cause they are foam. so i removed the rest. also removed the screens on some thrashed sp-3000 and they looked much better. they should be called pee screens my sp-3000's had a bad smell. i've got original sp-50's and sp-3000's in nice shape that dont need refinishing.
