Refoaming kit for Sentry iii woofer

Hi there! Newbie to this forum

This will be my first audio project. There is no one where I live in Maine that repairs hifi equipment. I'm looking to DIY refoam one of a set of speakers (the other was done about 10 years ago but one of them is dry rotted and first sounded blown and now is not producing any sound). They are EV Sentry iii's I inherited that belonged to my father. I'm not sure which kit to buy from simplyspeakers.com. I was going to purchase EV 15" Foam Speaker Repair Kit FSK-15A (PAIR)
Add Liquid Foam Sealer?: No Edge Sealer

Would anyone here be able to help guide me what to purchase. I can take measurements and provide photos if necessary.

But more importantly--- Will I need dust caps? For "flat attach" vs "angle attach" for the foam replacements.....how would I know which one mine is? Can anyone rec a good guide? Will I need to buy something to shim them? And how will I know if they also need to be reconed and not just refoamed?

I also blew or killed (it just died its dead) the beautiful old sony amp that was powering them sadly-- I do love the vintage look and sound of that amp so if it's salvagable I'd like to do a little operation and cleaning on the unit with some CRC QD Cleaner, but really don't know where to start. If it's not salvageable I'm all ears for recommendations on a powerful or affordable amp to power them.

Thanks!

Lily
