REGA Armboards -- old-style versus three-point

I have a Kenwood KD-500 deck, on which I'm planning to install a Rega RB-202.

This used table came only with an SME armboard, onto which I mounted a Rega RB-250, using an armboard converter purchased from an English purveyor of custom tonearm parts.

Unfortunately, the RB-250 turned out to be defective.

Now I'm looking at the Rega RB-202, a newer model based on the RB250 that has the newer three-point mounting system, which involves three screw holes surrounding the larger center hole that the arm column descends into.

My questions are this:

1) Is the new Rega column the same diameter as the old one?

2) Is it possible to refit (by drilling three holes) an older Rega armboard to accommodate a newer Rega tonearm? Has anyone successfully done this?

Thanks in advance.

The main hole is the same, 24 or 25mm, at 221.7mm from the spindle. The additional 3 holes can simply be added to an existing armboard or plinth. I haven't done it but might at some point.

I have a Kenwood KD 500 turntable and just got a Rega 330 I need a different arm board to mount it on as there was a Black Widow there before. Where should I look for an arm board or are they easy to make? Thanks.
