Rega | NAD | Croft | Spendor

After nearly twenty-five years of owning and listening to vintage equipment, I purchased a new system, which arrived a piece at a time this week:

Rega RP6 turntable with Exact2 cartridge
NAD C568 CD player
Croft Phono Integrated amplifier
Spendor S3/5R2 speakers

I also purchase a Cablepro Integrity AC power strip, Audience Ohno III speaker cables, and Nordost White Lightening interconnects. The Spendors rest on Pangea stands and the components on a Sanus Euro rack.

Last evening, I listened to LPs and tonight the CDs are spinning. So far, so good!

Once the boxes are put away and the wires managed a bit better, I'll try to get a good picture to post.

I will be interested to see how the Croft works with the Spendors. Congrats on a very nice system.

Thanks. I debated long and long about buying a new system. I've been dealing with health issues since 2014 and just decided to splurge. So far, I'm pleased with the Croft / Spendor pairing. Actually, I'm quite pleased. I find it hard to believe the sound that comes from speakers the size of shoe boxes. My room is small and I listen mostly to solo or small ensemble classical music at moderate volumes, so the Croft and Spendors seem, thus far, to be a good match for one another and for my listening habits. Thanks again for your comment.

Being a big fan of Spendors. I would love to hear that paring with the Croft amplifier as well. I bet that is a really nice sounding system. Especially with the kind of music you are listening to. Almost perfect speakers for that.

I know what you mean about health issues. I have been dealing with cancer for a number of years......makes you deal with reality and truth. Hope you continue to enjoy the sound and the people around you.
