Rega P2 now has adjustable anti-skate.

Looks like the pics on the website have not been updated. One Rega salesman on another forum took exception to the fact that I stated that Rega probably lost more customers than dollars(pounds ??) saved by having fixed anti-skate. I like Rega's. I have one. But I would not buy a turntable with a tonearm that had fixed anti-skate. Apparently Rega listens to customer complaints. And apparently my comment was not far from the truth. This is the same guy that back in 2006 stated that Rega would NEVER switch to a 3 point mounting system for their tonearms as was found on the 'pile of sand' Goldring GR 1.2(made by Rega). LOL.

I'm not entirely convinced this has been a case of Rega listening to their customers.

The first sign of change on the RB220 was the one in the link below, an OEM Moth RB220. I suspect Moth had no interest whatsoever in selling a fixed anti-skate version of the arm, and Moth and Rega go back a long time. My RB250 is actually a Moth-badged version.

I agree that a tonearm with no adjustable anti-skate is a bad idea. It'd be a deal breaker for me.

Wouldn't Moth be a customer ?

Strictly speaking, I suppose they are. I was referring more to the plebs on the street type of customers.

In any case, it is a great change. I have the prior version of the tonearm, the RB 202 and it is an excellent tonearm. To saddle the RB 220 with fixed anti-skate was not a good idea.
