Reissued (new) faceplates

Does anyone have an opinion on brand new faceplate reproductions currently being offered at the bay (the seller's name is twinimagevintage).

They look good but I have no idea if it is the correct thickness or how good the lettering is.

Well he certainly represents his reproductions as "correct": "meticulously and professionally reproduced for an absolutely identical match ... identical dimensions of size, thickness, window and apertures ... inspected by hand" and so on. And he accepts returns.

Is it odd that the only faceplate he currently offers is for the 4300?

$75.00 is little $$ to find out. I think you will pay more for original. If you need a 4300 that is.

I do need a 4300 to replace a bent one. I actually found an original used one on Reverb for $100, it comes with the black insert as well.

Now I need to find a faceplate for a 240 I got without it (strangely it has the bolts)

Thanks! The added "bonus" with the 4300... its dolby selector has a broken shaft. I managed to get the exact part from the auction site, so now the question is - should I replace just the shaft or the whole thing. It looks like Medusa to be honest. I'll post another thread about it.

From what I understand, @Aaron99 at vintagehifiaudio.com is gearing up to make some very high quality reproduction faceplates. If his cabinets are an example of the quality he is shooting for, the faceplates should be outstanding. Maybe he will chime in with more info.

I know this is a very long shot.. but is there any chance you can make a faceplate for the 240? I can let you borrow mine for a while if you need a template (I have another 240 that is missing it)
