Relay 981-2A-24DS in Yamaha R-S500

The relay has the usual issues - kicks in if vol is increased, one side is weaker than the other and sound is somewhat distorted on the weaker side. I tried to wiggle the cover loose in circuit as I've done with other older amps but after trying for a couple of days, decided to desolder it.

The numbers on the relay are ...
981-2A-24DS; 3A 125VAC; 5A 50VAC; SP7 1K1L.

- Does anyone know how to remove the cover, it looks pretty sealed to me.
- I looked at mouser, digikey and parts express and could not find this exact relay. Any idea where to source this and if there's a replacement part that matches pin configuration and layout?

Any other suggestions - should I try to crack the cover open?

Just to close the loop on this, I ordered the replacement relays from Ali Exp. This is an exact replacement with the same part number and I figure if I rotate the speakers to B output once in a while, it should be ok.
Just installed it and the amp sings again.
I feel so proud but seeing other restores keeps things in perspective.
