Reloop platter on Technics 1200mk2

Howdy guys and happy new year!
Long shot here...

I have come across a few old 1200mk2's. Currently restoring them, 2 to keep and 2 to sell.
The worst bit on all 4 are the platters, beyond restoring due to bad oxidation. Magnets are fine.
I have purchased two OEM for the ones for sale but I just can't justify the cost for another two for mine that I will play around with.

Does anyone know if I can transfer the magnets on to a Reloop platter as they are basically clones? - https://instrumentalparts.com/turntable-platter-reloop-dj-rp-6000-mk6-rp-7000-rp-8000/

Not sure if anyone has tried this.

I would say probably not. In the Technics range of tables, the only platters that might work are for the 1700MKII and the 1800 MKII. None of the others do. So I would take it to mean nothing from the outside either

If the only issue is oxidation, and they're otherwise functional (as in, not warped or anything), you could try painting them if you can't stand the oxidized look?

Yeah since posting I saw someone else get theirs sand blasted, painted and refaced with a bit of sanding on the dots, looked great. Will try that!
