Removing static from records

I use a couple of arms. I use one arm into my phono stage with my mm carts. I use another arm into another phono stage with my moving coils. The arm with the moving magnets had problems with static when flipping sides. I solved the problem by tying a wire from the spindle to one of the channel grounds. Completely silent since!

You know what? A used dryer sheet under your mat works wonders. I was having to ground out to a lamp just to get some lp’s off the table. Not anymore.

Worthless on my Kenwood.
