The EMIM on one of my Renaissance 90’s has started to not work intermittently. I’ve checked the driver and it’s fine so I’m trying to get the crossover out so I can diagnose the problem and perhaps rebuild the whole thing if needed. Problem is I can’t get the base out of the speaker. I’ve taken all the screws out, taken the back plate/foot off and removed the 10 inch driver to have access and can not get the bottom to want to come out. I haven’t tried hard because I don’t want to damage anything, but I’m wondering if anyone here who has done it has some tips on how to remove it without damaging the wood. Thanks for any help you can give
So we’re all on the same page, I’m talking about the triangle shaped piece of wood the crossover is mounted to in the pictuee
