Repair debarcle

Hello, I am having issue with a particular repairer of vintage audio. I surrendered my classic 70s Amp to them for repair over 10 years ago.
The first few months there was conversation on progress and then it all just stopped.
Since then I have emailed tried to call to get my amp back.
Now the repairer is not completely to blame here because I have moved house 4 times since giving my amp in for repair.

I also got busy forgot whom I gave it to and all that. BUT...

Two weeks ago going through my junk I stumble on a business card. Hooray I thought I will contact them and find out when my amp will be ready.

So I guise myself as a first inquirer and ask the basic questions. And to my delight boom I get a return email within 5 minutes WOW right.

So then I explain to them of my address changes and possible email change. My mobile number has never changed by the way and that the Amp I gave him 10 years ago must be ready?


..........2 weeks have passed .......mmmm.

The phone is never answered.

a lot of repair shops have unclaimed repair policies, if the item isnt picked up in 60 or 90 days you forfeit it. good luck

Maybe if you're very lucky some one here will know the guy or he may even be a member. Still I'd say the chances of getting anywhere positive after 10 yrs. is slim to none although I wish you all the luck in the world - you're probably going to need it.

Yup, after all this time, it is gone.

I keep unclaimed repair items for 2 years, then get rid of them.
