Replace grille cloth

Fisher STV-410M speakers. Grille cloths are badly damaged. Plastic frames are functional at 3 legs out of 4 still attached. I can see my way to reattach the cloth (I got generic speaker cloth from Parts Express) by using a hot melt glue gun (and more patience than I normally exercise).

Question is: I'm not sure how to remove the old cloth, how to remove remove the Fisher emblem.

Hints? If solvent is suggested, I'd not want to affect whats left of the plastic frames, so plastic safety is a concern.

Just gently pull off the old cloth from the frame, and if needed use a little pick to persuade it. Same for the badge - it is probably just glued on. Don't bend or break it. If there's some kind of peg holding the badge, nudge it out of its spot, or you can carefully cut it.

I don't recommend hot melt glue - too much volume IMO. Contact cement is the best but it has to be just the right amount of tacky or it will bleed through the cloth and/or not stick because it's too wet and/or not stick because it's too dry. If you let it fully dry a little acetone will get it tacky enough.

(BTW: I do not think acetone or most solvents will attack the plastic, which is probably ABS and pretty tough. But as always test an inconspicuous area.)

I used double sided hemming tape on the last grills I did and they came out beautifully. Really easy and not messy, available at JoAnn. Put a long strip on each side and slit the paper cover so you can take off ~4" pieces of the paper at a time. However, I don't recommend the very sticky carpet tape - too unforgiving and gums up everything it touches.

When you say 3 legs you mean the attachment pegs or the frame itself?
 
Good point, maybe pegs would be a better term. Those things which stick out of the plastic grill frame, and are pushed into the pockets in the speaker cabinet, intended to hold the grill assembly to the speaker cabinet.
 
No activation needed. It comes off the roll sticky and doesn't cure. If it fails, you can rub it off into a ball with your finger and start over.

On the pegs, they are available on eBay and probably many other places. If they're part of the molded plastic, you may be able to drill them out or see if you can use Velcro instead.
