replacement belts for reel and cassette decks

hello tape forum AK'ers,

i'm currently trying to service a teac v-2rx cassette deck and a x10r reel deck. i'm thinking that both need belts replaced because the motors sounds like turning but it's not rolling the reels. rewind works, but slower than usual.

i was searching for replacement belts, and found some on ebay for the reel deck, but for the v-2rx, only german ebay seller and the price is $35 for the belt kit and shipping. is this the only option? or do you guys know a source? maybe where i can get all the belts i need plus some oils and cleaners.

Check with Teac in CA, original belt is the best way for X-10R for sure.

TEAC has certainly been at least a somewhat surprising source of parts for their reel to reel decks for some time.

Yes, you can buy motors, belts and pinch-rollers for several models, not bad at all

Do they also have parts for their old CD players?

I may have to replace some belts on a CD player from 1993.
