Replacement Dust Cover Bumper - Feet

Anyone know where you can buy replacement bumpers for a dustcover.

KABusa sells bumpers that wrap around the cover for SL-1200 - I am looking for the kind that insert into cover or mostly concealed.

I can post a picture if it helps but most TT I have seen or owned have this type bummer - someone must have replacements.

I have searched the internets high and low without any luck but it is possible I could have over looked something.

It may not be what you are looking for, but you can take those stick-on felt pads and use a paper-punch to punch out a small circle, and stick that on the bottom corners. If there is a hole going up into the corner for a post to fit up into, then you can glue a tiny screw or brad onto such a felt disk, and insert that into the hole. You can also use rubber or nylon or cloth-backed vinyl, etc... but I've used felt, and it worked okay.

Another alternative, although not as appealing visually, is to stick small protector pads (use the smallest size, or cut them down or use a punch) on to the plinth-top, under where the dust cover comes to rest. This is usually easier, just a bit unsightly.

I too was looking for something myself as one of mine is lost , i think i am gonna put a small wooden dowel in the hole & glue a circle of soft foam or rubber on the end .

A lot of cars use little rubber bumpers all over the dashboard/console areas on things like coin holder doors and cup holder covers to keep them from rattling and to make them seem more "solid" when being closed. Most of those bumpers have thin cone shaped tails on them used to pull them into place and lock them. I used to save them and other small pieces like miniature bulbs when warranty parts were turned in (for other reasons). They work perfectly for dust cover bumpers if you find the right size. Sometimes just the tail section, or a part of it, will be all you need. I've found that the Japanese cars have a better selection of the really small ones you're likely to need. Go out to your garage and take a look, or better yet, go out to your neighbors garage!

Well 12ax7 you started the ball rolling... "stem bumpers" is what I am looking for. Now the problem is finding a company that doesn't have a $50-100 minimum order!

Still open to ideas - the felt is starting to sound good or even my neighbors garage.

I suggest getting those little clear rubber things you use on kitchen cabinets to keep the doors from banging shut too loudly.

Get something on there quick, because if you don't, after a while, the dustcover closing on the plinth will leave a mark. Some dumbass who had my Sanyo turntable before me must have took the rubber things off the dustcover, and there is a mark in the plinth where the silver paint rubbed off and now there's a big black line across the front.
