Replacement for Euphonics U15-2

Restoring an old Packard Bell Console with a Garrard 3000 changer. Have the table up and running now but noticed the rubber guard in the cart is shot.

Can I repair that or if not, is there a plug and play replacement for that cart? I looked around and it seems they are not available anymore even in the NOS market.

Edit: The rubber guard on the cartridge is the part that is shot as even with a new stylus the cart drags on the record.

Well, no response yet. So I will give an update and maybe someone can chime in.

To recap:
- Euphonics U-15-2 cart on a Garrard 3000
- new stylus
- cart is dragging on the record

I looked closer at the cart and the rubber mount is there and looks to be in good shape. Is it possible the stylus has too much play in it? I dialed the tracking weight down as much as I could (don't have a scale to measure) and it still happens.

Do the rubber mounts perhaps shrink over time so it does not support the stylus arm enough? Is there a way to repair the rubber mount? I am not sure how critical the rubber support is.

I did find another cart that I could use to replace this one but this cart has flat blades on the back so if I need to replace the care it wont be so easy as to just plug in a different ceramic cart. And I really don't want to try and solder new pins onto the wires for a new cart.

I believe the Euphonics catridge was a development of the Weathers FM(?) cartridge, which was an early strain gauge cartridge which requires a component (demodulator?) inbetween the cartridge and the preamp. Win Labs took over the design of the Euphonics and sold them up into the 80s and maybe later than that. Panasonic/Technics and a couple of other companies (Nagatron?) have also made strain gauges.
You probably would have a hard time finding a stylus replacement, but there is some interest in these cartridges, so you might be able to sell the Euphonics and fund a modern cartridge, ceramic or moving magnet (and preamp) with the proceeds.
