Hi all,
First time posting, so please forgive me if I'm in the wrong section, but I'm curious if anyone has ever had any success tracking down a non-warranty replacement platter for their Audio Technica AT-LP120. I've had mine for 7-8 years and recently noticed that the platter is warped—I took it off to confirm and can see that it's uneven in a couple places. I can hear the effects of this every now and again, especially in quiet piano trio settings.
I would've guessed replacing the platter on such a popular turntable would be relatively easy, but I can't find anything out there! Anyway, just curious if anyone has made this replacement and, if so, how they found a good platter (I'm out of warranty on the TT itself, so can't ask for a free replacement from Audio Technica). I'm hoping not to spend too much money because I'm also planning on upgrading my cartridge to the Nagaoka MP-150. Any advice would be very much appreciated!
Thanks for reading!
