Replacement Speakers for Realistic Optimus 5B's

Hi everbody! I'm new here. I just got a really good looking pair of Optimus 5B's and have come to realize that one of the midrange speakers and the tweeter is out in both sides. I've been scrounging the internet for a while trying to find something that'll work as a replacement and not coming up with much. Everything's just too big for the mounting hole (2 7/8" ish). I figured I'd ask you all and see if anyone has any insight into where I can get the right replacements for these! Thank you!

Keep an eye out on Ebay for the Realistic replacements. That is the easiest. Those are very nice speakes.

did you check them with an ohm meter to make sure it is for sure it's the drivers?

Check the capacitor on the midrange first.

Common issue with Nova 8b's and Optimus 5b's. Replacements come up fairly often on the auction site. Keep with OEM if possible. Keep in mind that while the mids and tweet look identical they are not. I believe the mids are 8 ohm and the tweets are 4 ohm. I've got a set of Nova 8b's but its been a while since I've been into the cabs so I'm just going on memory. (Or they could be 4 ohm on the mid's (wired in series) and an 8 ohm on the tweet...eeeks ) I just don't remember. They'll be clearly marked so you won't have to guess like I'm doing!

There are several that look the same. Tweeters and midranges. Make sure the numbers on the back of yours matches the used factory replacement you find on ebay.
If you dont see one for sale, just keep checking, one will pop up. Those speakers are worth the effort.
