Replacement Stylus for AT VS210e?

Found this Pioneer PL-518 at a thrift, came with an Audio Technica VS210e cartridge, broken stylus.
Original grey AT stylus replacements are about $35.00. Is this cartridge worth investing in a new or replacement stylus? If so what would be recommended.

The PL-518 was dirty, needs feet, dust cover scratched up. I think the scratches can be buffed out.
The deck works, holds steady speed, auto-return works.

You can get a new AT universal cartridge (it will also work for P mounts) for $40.00. They track well when i have set them up and sound quite good according to the reports I am getting back from recent installs.

VectorScan was one of Audio-Technica's many sub-brands, and in this case the bodies are standard Audio-Technica AT10/11/12 and accept the same styli, so you could use anything from an ATS10 conical to an ATN12XE nude elliptical. If you want to comparison-shop, the nearest equivalent in the standard A-T lineup was the AT12E with its blue ATS12 stylus. $35 for an A-T made stylus sounds pretty reasonable in today's market.

I have an AT311EP (P-mount with universal mount). It is mounted on a Kenwood headshell and I tried it on the PL-518. No Go. With the universal adapter it is too tall and the bottom of the cartridge body is making contact with the surface of the LP at about the same time the stylus is. Any little warp or wabble and the cartridge body bottoms out. There is no vertical adjustment of the tonearm on the PL-518 (as far as I know) so it doesn't work. No it may be the Kenwood headshell, but I also have a Pioneer PL-530 and it works fine on that turntable. I agree, they sound good, every bit as good as my AT-95E. I may try mounting it on the Pioneer headshell and see if I get proper clearance.
