I am curious how closely one needs to match specs for replacing tweeters. I can't find any schematics for this model but the entire speaker specs are as follows...
1988-1989
Bass Reflex
15" woofer
4" midrange
2.125" cone tweeter
42hz - 20khz frequency response
93db sensitivity
8 ohm impedence
18x13x31
36 lbs.
$240.00 pr.
Crossover points are at 3khz & 5khz. These are part of the garage system so I'm not looking to drop a lot of coin. I am thinking of something like this. I could also see going with this or this.
Any of those appear to fit into the cutout of the cabinet but what I'm really concerned with is how closely I need to match properties of the tweeter, such as impedence and sensitivity, to the properties of the entire speaker system.
