Hi folks. I have a pair of Thiel CS3.5 with one blown tweeter. A friend and I were rocking out, and playing guitar along with the tunes. Well, the volume got higher and higher until finally we heard a strange squeaky sound from the right speaker. Upon closer inspection, we narrowed the sound down to the tweeter. It still plays "well" at low volume, but push the volume even a little and the squeak returns.
The old tweeter is a D28A. Can anyone make a good recommendation of a suitable replacement for that tweeter as they don't appear to available any longer. I think the original tweeter manufacturer is Dynaudio.
But to reiterate, can anyone recommend a suitable replacement tweeter for the blown one. I have always loved the Thiels and would like them to go another 25 or so years.
