Replacement Tweeters

I need seven T-138 Sansui tweeters. Can't find them. I've bought 6 on EBAY and none of them work. OK....done with that.....These speakers are 12W nom. 12 ohm horn type. They are 2 1/8 Diameter at the opening. They are 3 3/8 overall diameter. The center to center hole distance is just under 3" (76mm?).
They are for the SP 2500X cabinets. Two questions: Anyone have working ones they want to sell? Of course not. OK question two: Does anyone have the resource to cross-reference these to something else? Don't send me to Parts Express.........they don't list them. Oak tree has them listed but are currently out of stock. There has to be something I can put in these cabinets that will work as good or better than the original tweeters. Any effort or answers/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.......Thanks.......

Size is really close but the specs are all wrong. I need 12W nom. and 12 ohm tweeters for an 8 ohm cabinet 100W max......Thanks for trying though. PS. Not going to pay 50 bucks apiece for 7 tweeters.........I can replace the whole cabinets for that......

There is a difference in Ohms. The Sansui tweets are 12 Ohms and the Fostex tweets are 8 Ohms. The Fostex tweets are 98.5 dB so they will probably need some sort of L-pad to balance them out with the rest of the drivers.

You will most likely have to make some adjustments to the tweeter crossover to keep the crossover point correct if the impedance of that branch(s) is not kept the same as the original.

It's not a problem to go up with the wattage handling. That just means they can handle more power before they blow up. You can compensate for the difference in resistance with external resistors or an L-pad.

I agree that $40 is kinda steep for that many but perhaps you could get lucky and find a different vender with a better price.

Are you sure the tweeters are bad, and that you don't have a internal wiring or crossover problem inside the cabinets? How are you testing the tweeters?
