Replacing Lamps on 2225

Greetings,

I just purchased a Marantz 2225 and the lamps for both meters and the tuning dial need replacing. How difficult is this to do? Station dial indicator light and stereo light still work. Where can I obtain these lamps and does anyone know the approximate cost?

Easy. Should be two screws that hold in the lamp housing, and two for the meter lamp housing. Just back them off a few turns, and gently remove the housings. Be careful if the 2225 has plastic housings, they are usually brittle. Here's a handy guide for relamping, it's for a 2235B, but close enough--http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1416011. I really like LED lamps, you can get them from forum member whsh93a. Or you can get standard lamps from dgwojo. It won't cost you more than about 25 bucks either way.
