Replacing mangled whizzer cones... how to?

Whizzer cones on vintage speakers sometimes are mangled/torn/damaged to the point of needing replaced.

There are some vintage whizzer cones for sale on the 'Bay.

What would be the procedure to remove and replace a mangled whizzer cone?

Thanks.
