On the weekend I picked up a set of PSB Alpha's for $10. The tweeters had already been replaced with crappy non-stock tweeters. The seller threw along some Motorola KSN1039A (according to my research) tweeters he said I could swap out. He said these I could just wire in, but if I went with better ones he mentioned needing a capacitor/crossover.
Is that the case? I'm a noob when it comes to this but my understanding is that the crossover circuitry is already in the speaker. If I get different tweeters can I just wire them in to the existing wiring, or will I need a new crossover as well? I'm going to try the Motorola's, but am open to reasonably priced (under $50) suggestions for an ideal tweeter for this speaker.
Thanks
