Replacing VAC caps in crossover?

I’ve found a handful of posts about this but there didn’t seem to be a clear cut answer. I’m looking to recap the crossover in my Altec Lansing Model 8s, and 2 of the 3 caps are labeled as VAC (the 2uF and the 8uF). My rough understanding is that I’d have to replace them with significantly higher rated VDC caps. I would replace them with VAC caps but I can’t find any of the correct value. Normally you'd recap with Polypropylene film caps that are almost always 200 volts or higher. Many are 400 volts. Even the cheap Daytons are 250 volts so it's not really a concern.

Okay so sounds like standard crossover caps like that are fine to replace them with then. Thank you!
 
Yea, get rid of those caps. That brand did not age well. Parts Express has the new Jantzen MKT Metalized Polyester caps. The 2.2, and 8.2 values will be close enough to stock, plus the 18 is an exact match. Or you could also 'upgrade' to poly film caps. Bigger and more expensive. Many to choose from.

Typically, caps rated in VAC can handle higher VDC. For instance, 63VAC is often referenced as 100VDC, or just "100V".
