May have to replace a woofer for W60D speaker. Several on E-bay advertised as being for W60D’s. But some have square magnets, some have round magnets (like mine), some say they are 4ohm, some say 8 ohm. Some say ‘longer throw style—for early tube systems”…lots of variances in the woofers stated as being out of W60D’s…..and there is a set out of W60’s…that look just like the woofs in my W60D’s.
Educate me here….did they make several slightly different woofers for the W60D’s…depending on year of manufacture? Are W60 and W60D woofers the same? Do I need a particular W60D woofer? My speakers themselves say 4 -8 ohm on the L Pad Plate, and have ’67 written on the woofer cones. Is there a model or serial number somewhere that would more specifically identify my woofers?
If there is some cross capability among different W60-W60D woofers…..would some be considered superior to others?
