Requesting Input from Forum Members After 2023 Update

I have been on AK on my phone, my tablet and my desktop since the upgrade. The differences are not that different than before the upgrade.

We knew that the site would change doing the server and software upgrades.

But think about this. It has been many, many years since anything major was done to the site. If these changes had not been done, we could have had many more issues that we probably would not have been able to fix. A band aid only works for so long.

The site has many things that are going to worked through. The site has been up for less than 12 hours and we are still learning about the things that are different.

I am going to ask for a little more patience as the Admins and Mods get used to the new software as well.

For a second there I thought I'd got onto the wrong forum. This is like another forum I use for photography.
Nice, this will work well.

Hi Loop, yes that test pic I posted looked much smaller when I previewed it before posting :dunno:
 
Well now we are back to making it almost impossible to log in. I enter my name and password and it acts like I am not logged in. It took several attempts and almost 15 minutes to get logged in. I am sure after I close out this page and try to return it will show me logged out again.

Folks are just voicing differences and comments. Do not take any of them as major issues. This is folks just talking about differences and discussing work arounds while your group finishes up this upgrade. Then maybe look into a few of the issues that are most common.

I agree with a few of the comments, both good and the ones with issues. I mean this is a forum for rectangular gear and the avatar is round. Sure we squeal about it but it doesn't make much difference. I'll either make an avatar for round presentation, or the format will change, probably about the same time in a future.

I like how a thread has follow-up mini search at the bottom, Similar threads. Folks can post a question and when they look back maybe there is an old thread that answers the question.

I posted a pic over in Gen Off Topic and at first I thought my browser (Opera) was to blame but then I switched to Edge and it's the same. Not a big deal. The default downscale width may have been something like 640. So anything now looks monstrous if it's like the 957 that I posted.
 
Need to figure out how Bookmarks work on this upgrade. If it’s like pre XenForo that would be great.
