Rescue Me

:thmbsp:

Started watching this show on Netflix last month and am nearly done with season 1, what a great show!

Squad 51 would be appalled at the behavior of this crew. No saintly heroes here, just real, flawed, (badly in some cases) human beings.

Man you are in for a ride! I give you about 3 weeks at best to finish the series. It is very addictive.

[Tom Brennan]

Is that the show with Timothy Leary?

Is that the show with Timothy Leary?

Yes.

[cratz2]

Yeah, Dennis Miller and Timothy Leary.

[Eric H]

Yeah, Dennis Miller and Timothy Leary.

Sorry, late night brain fart, it's Denis Leary, not Timothy, and no Dennis Miller that I know of, no Fontella Bass either.

I sat through the first four seasons then moved and sorta forgot about it. Maybe I'll grab the entire series, start @ the beginning, and push through to the conclusion.

One of my favorite series of all time. Right up there with BREAKING BAD, OZ, SIX-FEET UNDER, and THE WIRE.
Although the show took place in NYC, Leary, being from Boston, had guest roles played by Boston Hockey greats Phil Esposito and Cam Neely.
Btw, before RESCUE ME, Leary and Peter Nolan also created a series called THE JOB. In this one Leary plays a NYC detective, and also co-stars his best friend Lenny Clarke. If you like RESCUE ME, you'll also like this show.
One last thing about RESCUE ME; the theme song C'MON, C'MON by the VON BONDIES was the perfect opening music for this in your face series.
