Found this old girl in the e-waste bin at the transfer station. All there but missing a few plastic bits for the antenna and speaker + terminal.
Brought home, checked the fuses and they were fine. Passed the dim bulb test with flying colors.
Most bulbs are out but she works great. Really beautiful Sansui sound. Dead quiet with nothing playing which surprised me initially as I thought it was not working.
Be a project but just a good clean up and lamps will do wonders.
Sound is right there with my Eight and Eight Deluxe. Very pleased with saving it.

Still had some blue plastic on it. Wife made me quarantine it outside for a while in case a giant spider was living inside.

Good of you to have saved it. I wonder if that damage to the antenna terminal happened before or after it was left in the trash. At least that part shouldn't be difficult to turn up, and likely not too costly, either. It still surprises me someone would chuck a working unit. It's almost sickening to think of how much perfectly usable, good stuff has ended up in landfills, so I'm always happy to see something like this get spared.
