Resistors in crossovers

Hello friends.

Rebuilding the crossovers in a pair of infinity column ii's. One resistor is valued at 9.4ohm. I cannot find a replacement with the same value.
Closest I can find is 9.1.


Would that be acceptable?

Or do I look to combine 2 4.7's together?

A 9.1 resistor is still within 5% of your original value. I'd say it would be acceptable to use. Though, 2 series 4.7 Ohm resistors works too, if you have the room?

Got room to series a couple together.

It's just odd the 9.4 is so hard to find. I was directed to ebay for some NOS ones.
Kinda wanted to get some higher quality components in there.

Here's a calculator to find the net resistance by connecting two resistors in parallel. It's important if you want exact values to have a multimeter to check.

You would put two 4.7ohms in series ! What do the originals measure, still could be ok.

Is 9.4 a spec'd value or is that a measured value of say a 10 ohm resistor with tolerance?
