Resonance frequency - 10.37 which is better?

I'm doing some calculations regarding the Yamaha MC-1 cartridges to sit in my YP-D9, which would be a better match...

MC-1s 21.4g total mass with ADC magnesium headshell = 10.37 hz resonant frequency.

Or

MC-1x (with the integral headshell) so 6g arm plus 18g headshell/cart combined = 5.93 resonant frequency.

I have a MC-1x that needs retipping, but isn't a 5.93 resonant frequency too low? Might the 'S' version of the cartridge work better with a 10.37 frequency? I briefly had the MC-1x working well before it broke and it was sounding great with a huge wide open sounstage and was incredibly quiet in the grooves, but I got thinking about resonant frequencies and need someone with more knowledge to explain what I'm aiming for and why!?

Thanks!!

resonant frequency can be excited by record warp, 1-a few per revolution, you can determine frequency, but lot. and low frequencies recorded on the album, 20 Hz or maybe 16 for some serious organ music.

The desired range is 8-11Hz.

That said, the calculation I did with the best sounding cartridge arm combo I have used in my rig had a resonant frequency of somewhere in the 6Hz number.

From your two, I would think the better choice would be the 10+ Hertz combo.

I use the HiFi News test record. It has a special track for testing both vertical and lateral resonance. You can actually see the results. No second guessing.
