Thanks, They look like a great company dedicated the the Sansui brand.
I was hoping to find someone closer to home to avoid shipping charges. I live in Ga. And frequently visit Huntsville Alabama.

The only way to avoid shipping charges is to find a Sansui specialist in your area. Good luck with that. If you find one, let us know. You DO NOT want just any repair shop to do the restoration. Shipping charges is a small price to pay for a proper restoration of a 9090db. Additionally, they bypass the dolby board which is highly problematic and as far as i know nodoby else knows how to do that. They did the R and D to figure that out. Then they do a differential modification to the driver board which drops distortion by a good amount. Nobody else does that either. Do you really want to go somewhere else just because of shipping? Your choice, but unless you can do all this yourself, it's a bit of a no brainer to send it there.

Too bad then, that's usually the case with good techs...Is the closest that I'm aware of. Hopefully some will chime in.
I’m in line to have him restore my Pioneer SX-1250. When I signed up, the wait was 14 months, but I’m ok with that. It’s worth it, considering the quality of his work.

How was the restoration. Did it sound better after the restoration.
Came out great. Considering that the receiver was stuck in protection and made no sound, i would certainly say that it sounds better after restoration.

The work is well done.

I feel like more attention could be focused on fit and finish though. Trim pieces and such were not tightened down properly so i had to redo some of that myself, but the boards were well restored.....excellent soldering and desoldering work and the upgrades and modifications are well engineered and well executed.
