Restoring G-9700

Congrats on getting it together. 48 volts is pretty impressive. It calculates to 288 watts. High but not impossible, assuming you had it on an 8 ohm dummy load. Sansui rated the G-9700 at 200 WPC at a ridiculously low, 0.02 THD and a frequency response of 5 to 80,000 Hz. If you were just visually looking at clipping on a 'scope, you were probably well above 0.02 THD.

New issue with my G-9700. FM tuner display is off. AM is right on and I am able to tune in to local stations. The digital FM tuner display does change smoothly from low to high frequencies (89.8 - 113.5) with no jumping in the readout. I have done quite a bit of browsing thru the forms on what could be wrong. Have followed dr*audio post on cleaning the tuner with no change. I tried adjusting TC04 on the F-3047 board but it has no effect on the display. My thoughts are that TC04 is bad. The only reference to a replacement in any post is to this https://br.mouser.com/ProductDetail/24AA023?R=24AA023virtualkey21980000virtualkey24AA023 which is now obsolete. I have done a lot of searching for a similar trim capacitor and am not really happy with anything I have found. Is there another one someone has used or thinks will work?

I was working on a G9700 which had the same issue, they are a bitch of a thing to replace too as you have to take the RF Front End off the tuner board, which means re-stringing the dial as well.
It seems Sansui used cheap crap trimmers for the LO in these tuners, I have seen quite a few like this, the I was doing just fell apart.

I have a bunch of old tuner boards which I raid for spare parts, so I've never had to buy a new trimmer cap, maybe look around for an old analogue tuner and use it for spare parts....?
