Returning Polk RTi12. Advice needed.

I have been reading speaker threads the last few days trying to get info on floor speakers. My home theater system setup is:

Yamaha RX-671 receiver
Martin Logan Motion 10's side speakers
Polk LSi f/x rear
Martin Logan Motion 8 center
Polk PSW505 12" sub

Original setup had Martin Logan Motion 12's floor speakers up front. I replaced the Motion 12's with the Polk RTi12's. One of the RTi12's came damaged. Long story short after about 25 hours of listening to the RTi12's they are not as bright as the Motion 12's. They can handle more power and sound okay but I am not happy with them.

Polk is taking the RTi12's back with no restocking charge because of the damage. Recommendations for front floor speakers I should look into would be appreciated.

The reason I replaced the motion 12's is one was badly damaged. Martin Logan discontinued the Motion 12's.

Everything i read recommends timbre matching fronts and center channel.
Which would probably be from the same brand and series.
So you might want to switch the center out once you decide on the fronts.

Did you buy these on eBay? I was thinking about picking up a set of the rti12's myself. What didn't you like about them? Seems to be a pretty sweet deal...

Polk Ebay store has them on sale for $800 shipped. Fry.com had them on sale for $600 last week shipped. Just put them in your cart for the $600 price. The RTi12's sound good but a little to much bass for me. You will not need a sub. They are big so make sure you have the room.

Just MHO, but that room looks like it really need some sound-absorptive materials in it; it may be hard to find something satisfying until you soften things up a bit.
