Returning to Physical Media

Never got rid of any physical media except for 8 tracks when cassettes came out many years ago. Don't have a streaming service yet do place music on iPod or iPhone M3P equipment. Mainly still spin LP's or CD's if not listening to the radio. Have nothing against using streaming at all. Had it for free when getting a new truck let it go after.

I wish that satellite radio had good sound quality. The variety is great, but the sound is crap. Unless it improved massively since I last heard it years ago.

Bought a Audioengine B1 after hearing a friends setup with Apple Music. It sounded pretty darn good to me. Use the B1 so someone can listen to music from their phone when auditioning gear if need be.

I never left physical media. When Hastings Books and music was going out of business some years ago I bought a lot of CD's for cheap. I love my cassette tapes mostly over 400. Just bought 5 more CDs today $1 each at a record store that has been around since the early 70's.

I probably have over (500) CDs, (100) SACDs, (600) LP records, (200) 45s, (400) cassettes, (60) prerecorded 4 track open reels and (50) 10” 2 track open reels. 80% of the time I listen to digital rips or stream content. No real logic but if its music I like I must own a physical copy.
