Revox A77 mark 3 advice

Hi all, I’m a new member and to completely honest not really that knowledgeable on this sort of thing.
There was an accident today where my 1yo broke my grandfathers revox A77 mark 3 (he’s only had it a few weeks after waiting years to get one). I know there isn’t anything I can do to make up for my child breaking it but I wanted to do what I can to replace it. I found a couple for sale that say they need the motors replacing but otherwise should work. I just wanted to check with people who knew more than I did of the motors are replaceable if I can find the parts and how likely it is that the motors would be the only problem. My partner is a mechanic and I (before my child was born) worked in technical theatre so we’re both pretty confident that we’d have have the skills to repair one.
Has anyone replaced the motors before? Are there any other parts I should be expecting to be broken too?
TIA

Is it so badly broken that it can't be repaired? ISTM that would be preferable to buying another one. Unless it's something like 'he knocked it off a shelf onto a concrete floor".

He knocked it off a unit about 4ft onto a carpet floor but I thinks it’s concrete underneath. I know the housing and plastic front case was pretty smashed but I don’t know if any of the mechanics survived and I don’t think I’d be allowed near it to check

Any Revox A77 needs a full restore today due to the many things that can and do go wrong after all these years. Finding one properly refreshed is best. I’ve read techs say they Don’t service these anymore because of the overall needs making the work more expensive than the owner wants. Just fixing the issues does not mean other issues will not show up soon causing the owner to blame the service group when the new issue was never addressed.

In replacing, find the best you can. Step to a newer Revox would be even better. I know, not inexpensive options.
