Revox B790 and Jico Stylus

Hi All; I have a Revox B790 turntable with a Shure V15 Type IV cartridge with a Jico stylus. I am wondering what is the best method to clean the stylus tip. There is not much room between the tip and the platter. So none of the gel cleaners will fit. I emailed Jico for their advice but have yet to get a reply. I hate to use a liquid cleaner for fear of loosening the tip. I do dry brush the tip before each play, but would like to clean to remove any gunk build up. Any help, Thanks!!!!!!:thmbsp:

Well, here is my reply from Jico.

Thank you for your enquiry.
We are glad to hear that you use our stylus, thank you.

However, we do NOT deal with cleaner for tip.
We are sorry but we do not help you on this matter.

The LAST dry cleaning brush will go under it, you draw it forward only relative to the stylus axis. I use one on my 795. The LAST cleaning liquid is costly but goes a long way and is supposed to be harmless. Ortofon says flatly not to use alcohols to clean their stylii.
To access the cart on the Linatrack to wet clean the stylii it's necessary to swing the gantry out into the service position after running the carrier mostly out toward the spindle, then switching off. Using gels and magic eraser on this set-up is risky and not worth ruining the stylus.
