My B790 works O.K, except that when the cartridge returns home at the end of a record, the platter keeps spinning, and the stylus lamp stays on. I know that the right limit switch works because if I press on the lever before the cartridge has made it home, the cartridge stops. If I swing the tonearm from the playing position, the platter stops, and the stylus lamp goes out. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Do you have service manual?
Does the left sw working ? I.e. when you touch it, the cartridge will return? Even in the middle ( no playing position of cartridge) when you turn tone arm, the cartridge return?
If so, I guess your right side switch is not function probably. Please check the switch path on PCB, it’s may some components fail.
