Rewound Fisher Transformers

I see some indications on eBay that Transcendar is back. There are some items being offered for Fisher amplifiers/receivers and also offers to rewind Fisher transformers. Does anyone know what the true situation is with Transcendar?

No prices listed on their website. Is this one of those "if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it" places? Just curious.

Nah. He had prices up last year b4 they went down. He might be re-structuring prices. And the prices weren't much out of line with Edcor or Hammond. In some cases cheaper.

You can find a few on eBay as examples. Look closely at the supplier and you can spot them. The prices I saw on the ones listed were in line with others offering replacements.

Thanks, guys. I recently bought a Fisher 500-S that is pretty clean but is missing all of its iron (both audio transformers and the power transformer), as well as the bottom cover. I looked at Edcor and thought their price for comparable audio transformers seemed fairly reasonable. When I'm ready to start on the 500-S rescue - and it will be a while before I'm ready as it will be a major project - I'll check with Transcendar.

Edit: I just found Transcendar on the auction site. A bit higher than Edcor but impressive. I had not heard of them before seeing this thread.

As a follow-up to discussions about Transcendar transformer company, I was looking for replacements for the Fisher T991-116-1 or -2 and Transcendar shows their TT-432-OT on their website, but no pricing and no way to order through the internet direct. They do not even show their physical address. I did a Google search and came up with two different physical addresses in Hollister, CA, one on Lana Way and another on Santa Ana. There was a phone number of 831-636-0404 (at both locations) and I tried calling. The phone number is no good now. Finally around noon today I found an eBay listing of one of their output transformers for a Fisher 500-B and showing Transcendar as the seller. I used the eBay message system to send them a query about price of their TT-432-OT transformers (qty. 2) and shipping. I hope to hear from them soon.

I just find it odd that a company does not offer direct ordering on their website (they do have one) and no indication of how to contact them either by physical address or phone number or e-mail. It appears that they only want to deal with end-user orders through eBay. It would be helpful if they stated on their website to contact them through eBay if that is their preferred method of dealing with end-user customers.
