RG-1 Lighting

My RG-1 uses fuse style lights for the meters and they produce a cool white light. This light is a bit too blue for me and is far from the warm light produced by my 1080 and 9191. The differnce really stands out, especially in a dark room. It looks like the unit doesn't belong. Are there any replacement fuse style bulbs that produce a warmer light or do I have to modify the lighting to use warmer bulbs?

Thanks!

What lamp rating is in there now?? Maybe someone stuck 6.3v in an 8v application?? :scratch2:

They are original bulbs. The markings are: Stanley 8V 0.3a. The glass had a blue tint. I'd like to get some warmer bulbs.

The light output seems about right. It's just too much on the cool side. From the tinting of the bulbs (blue) it was meant to be cool, not warm like most other components. I figure I'll install a set of 8v blubs, but not with the blue tint. If that's too bright, I'll go to a higher wattage.

@TinCanAlley were you able to find warmer bulbs? I have the exact same issue, originally thinking someone replaced the bulbs with LEDs -- but they are original. I like the warm glow of the CT-9191 much better, even an SX-x50 or RT-707 color would be better. As you stated the RG-1 looks out of place in the stack.

Sadly I no longer have the unit. I wasn't using it, and I donated it to a family member. They don't mind the light temp.

The replacement you did look much closer to what it should be.
