Richard Dawson, RIP

[anytune]

Sorry to report that TV icon Richard Dawson has passed away. He was 79. Best known for his supporting role on "Hogan's Heroes" and later as the smarmy original host of "Family Feud," I always thought his best effort was as the over-the-top evil emcee in "Running Man" opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. Sleep well, Mr. Dawson. You made us laugh.

A very entertaining actor, Loved him in Running Man!

The use of the term "icon" should be confined to religious art, Orthodox in particular.

Richard took my brother and me for a ride in his Jag XKE in 1972 - we were 10 & 11 years old. He was staying in the same hotel as we were in Caifornia (my father was also an actor, Sterling Hayden). Richard seemed to be a really nice guy....very funny also. He'll be missed.
