Right Channel Low Volume

I am not quite sure yow to best describe this but here goes:

A complete newb and I am running only computer digital through a Dac and into a Sansui 771 which is driving Klipsch KG4's.

I am getting far less volume through the right channel of the Sansui, I believe.

I have 4 KG4 speakers and have tried each of them on the right channel and the volume is much lower on all of them than on the left channel. I can turn the balance to the highest right and stlll be significantly lower volume than on the left channel.

It does appear that they are quite equal when the reciever is set to MONO,

Any suggestions for where I might have a technician check this receiver out or what might be my problem?

If the volume levels are even in mono, the problem is not with the amplifier stage or speakers. It could be something as simple as a bad interconnect. Try swapping IC cables or trying a different input on the Sansui.

Swapped input from Speaker 1 to Speaker 2 and the two channels are much more in balance. I am not sure they are perfectly so, but much, much better.

If I turn balance control full right, the right speaker is still much lower volume than if turned full left. But, it does seem to sound far better when balance is centered.
