RIP Connie Francis

[Bill Ashton]

MSN

I cut-and-pasted the Billboard story, but it just shows up above as "MSN."

I kind of only remember her for "Where The Boys Are," but she had a horrible experience on the road ...

May she rest in peace!

[Quadman2]

Connie Francis had a distinctive style and voice that set her apart, being the first female sing to reach #1 in the top 100 chart.

Despite some terrible personal events in her life she still managed to carry on after a long hiatus.

As well, she took part in at least eight movies, with "Where The boys Are" that set many a heart-a-flutter...while dancing to this song.

RIP

Sad to hear that. Do have some Connie Francis 45s. Connie had a wonderful voice!

My Dad loved her music! I've heard a lot of Connie Francis in the old days growing up.

Connie Francis was a treasure. I love her album 'Sings Folk Favorites', 1965 release. She'll be Coming Round the Mountain, etc. Record sounds much better than Utube. The recording, the record is actually quite good quality.
