I just read on the internet that Nick Curran, the great singer and guitarist died of throat cancer in October.
If Little Richard had played guitar and listened to the Ramones, he would have sounded like Nick Curran. Nick also played with the Fabulous Thunderbirds for awhile.
His last cd "Reform School Girl" came out in 2010. The cancer he had beaten once, came back again. He was only 35.

G'day mate, that's very sad and particularly sad about the return of his cancer.

Sadly there are no cancer 'cures' in my heartfelt opinion, only 'management' and 'control'. All we're doing is buying some extra time. Very sad. Regards, Felix aka catman.

I first heard him a couple of years ago on 'The Underground Garage" on Sirius when his last cd in 2010 was released. Even then he was fighting the cancer. I hadn't heard anything about him in the last two years, so I typed in his name on my pc and read that he had died. I've been collecting his earlier recordings, but sadly won't hear any new stuff.
